Youth Events Scheme 2016/17

  1. Aim: To provide support for primary and post-primary schools to promote the Irish language in a planned, pioneering, structured and enjoyable way.  Foras na Gaeilge is providing funding for appropriate youth events programmes (which must contain a minimum of 12 sessions) through Irish for young people (3 to 18 years of age) outside of the Gaeltacht:
  • which aim to strengthen the Irish language through a mix of activities;
  • that are not residential events;
  • which will run between 1 September 2016 and 30 June 2017;
  • which are not festivals, competitions or one-off events.

Summer Camp Scheme 2016 – Irish Language Summer Camps for Young People Outside of the Gaeltacht

1. Aim: To provide funding for Summer Camps through Irish for young people outside the Gaeltacht. Foras na Gaeilge is providing funding for appropriate Summer Camps through Irish for young people (3 to 18 years of age):

  • which aim to strengthen the Irish language through a mix of activities;
  • that are not residential camps;
  • which will last 5 days;
  • which will run between 27 June and 26 August 2016;
  • which will last at least 4.5 hours each day
